PLEASE NOTE: only men’s clothing is required at present - owing to the poor living conditions, there is a limit of 3 days on women staying at the centre. Unfortunately, the GDWG is no longer permitted to distribute toiletries to the detainees. Raffle tickets will be on sale the week before. Inspired by an extremely generous parishioner who is contributing the full cost to treat a child under the Nagajothi Fund, the money raised from this sale will solely be used to support the children from the poorest of poor backgrounds to provide them with the essential medical care they so desperately need. They are disabled and the money will help with hospitalization, surgery and prostheses. For the sale to be a success quality goods and volunteers are essential please. CHILDREN’S LITURGY
Sunday, March 28, 2010
A big thank you to everyone who donated their calendars. We now have an extensive gallery of great pictures to use with the children. Our group has gone from strength to strength and often we have over 30 children in the children’s liturgy group. We are looking at trialling on the last Sunday in the month two groups; one for school age children, taking place in the day chapel and one for pre-school children in the hall. For this to be feasible we really need more helpers. Both Karen and I are volunteer mums, we would gladly explain the role and share our experiences. Please contact Karen or Anita Dyer after Mass or via the Parish Office.
