HELPING OTHERS
Lourdes Pilgrimage Fund
Many thanks to everyone who helped or supported the Pasta Night in aid of The St. Michael’s Lourdes fund. We are delighted that we were able to raise £704. This will mean that someone will be able to experience the joy of Lourdes. Sharon, Barbara and Maureen

A very big thank you to everyone who helped at the 4 RTU sales on the weekend of 27/28 March, and to those who supported RTU with donations, buying raffle tickets or goods. The total raised was £711, which will provide children in RTU who have disabilities with care, hospitalisation, prosthesis and equipment. Thank you again, Jenny Stevens, RTU Co-ordinator.
Thank you to the kind parishioner who advised me of the following: Everyclick.com is a new category of search engine that allows you to search the internet just as efficiently as any other; the big difference is that every click you make benefits a charity of your choosing, at no extra cost to you. You can enter RTU as your charity and every little helps!

Worthing Churches Homeless Project
Offering care, support and accommodation to the most vulnerable and excluded members of our community.
Worthing Churches Homeless Projects are currently seeking to recruit a volunteer hairdresser to visit their residential projects. There are 52 people accommodated in the projects at any one time. Sue Stevens said ‘We like to have a hairdresser visit the projects regularly to encourage the clients to take a pride in their appearance. It is all part of rebuilding their confidence. Sadly our current hairdresser has moved away. The work entails visiting each of the projects in turn, dedicating about two hours a week (or one day a month) to the work.’
They are also seeking volunteers who could offer a couple of hours gardening a fortnight, someone to help in the shop and someone to take on regular breakfast slots at St Clare's Day Centre helping in the kitchen. If you are interested in doing this work, please contact Claire, Volunteer Coordinator on 01903 227825. CRB checks are required.
