ST MICHAEL'S PARISH HALL  - Heerey Hall

We see our Parish Centre, Heerey Hall, as part of our ministry of welcome. Having a suitable and welcoming place for people to gather for social activities is very important for us.
To view the diary of hall bookings please see attached. Our current hall charges are attached. For more information about the hall and how to make a booking please contact the Parish Office on 01903 264770.

Bidding Prayers' Preparers
We are so grateful to those who prepare petitions for us but we are always in need of new blood. You do not need to be a Booker prize contender! We need simplicity, love and Faith. These are our prayers, our opportunity to bring our petitions and thanks to our Lord. Pease think about offering - if only on a trial basis. Lots of help and guidance is available. Please make contact with Fr Chris, Deacon Mark or the Parish Office.

CAFOD/Traidcraft Group
Contact Deacon Mark for more information on 01903 877801
Traidcraft goods are available in the Church entrance.  Occasional larger stalls during the year.

Children's Liturgy
All children are welcome to our Children's Liturgy every Sunday during the 10:30 am Mass. During our sessions we sing, draw, pray and learn about the Gospel theme for each week. The sessions are particularly suitable for children up to eight, but older children are welcome to continue attending. If you would like more information about the Children's Liturgy or would like to get involved contact the Parish Office.

Church Cleaning
Each Tuesday morning a willing band meets to help to clean the Church. They are a wonderful group of people who are always pleased to welcome new helpers. If you are able to help please contact the Parish Office.

Craft and Charity Fundraising Group
Meetings are each Wednesday, 10:30am to 12:30am in the Parish Hall.
Come and enjoy a tea or coffee with other craft loving people. Bring along whatever you’re currently working on or just simply come along and enjoy a bit of company. All welcome!
We look forward to seeing you

St Michael's Men
An occasional, informal get-together for men from the parish.  Not a 'group' as such but a gathering open to all over 18 years be they married, single, dads, granddads, Catholic parishioners or otherwise. For more information speak to Deacon Mark (Wg 877801)

6th Worthing St Michael's Air Scout Group
In 1979 Fr Ted Bell, St Michael's Parish Priest, asked Marie Lowe and John Price to start up a Scout Group.  After negotiations with the Scouting Organisation the 6th Worthing Scouts was set up and started using the upstairs hall as a headquarters on 12th March 1979.
On behalf of St Michael's the Scouts raise money for local charities and parade at the Cenotaph in Broadwater Cemetery on Armistice Day.
Fittingly, considering Fr Chris ingle's former career, the Scouts became an Air Group a few years ago.
In 2018 the Group will celebrate it's 40th Anniversary.

Cubs (boys and girls 8-101/2yrs) meet every Tuesday in term time from 7pm-8.30pm.
Scouts (boys and girls 101/2-14yrs) meet on Friday evening from 7.30pm-9.30pm.

Come along and meet us and make new friends, have fun and enjoy a different adventure each week!

Sense of Prayer
Prayer evenings are held on a Wednesday at St Michael's about every 2 months. Our evenings are intended for those with or without learning difficulties and consist of an acitivity related to the theme of the evening, a period of prayer and reflection, followed by tea and cakes. We have many lovely people who support the group and always welcome offers of help.  For more information please contact the Parish Office.

Sunday Coffee
Join us each Sunday after 10.30am Mass for a coffee and chat.  If you are able to be part of the rota providing teas and coffees please contact the Parish Office.
